This is a beautiful record of great compositions and playing by Attila Rieger and his group. Attila has an
incredible sound and touch on the guitar and shows a maturity and musicality that is truly his own. The group
shows great sensitivity and plays with empathy and generosity, bringing out the mood of each composition. Great
music!!

Inner tension, focused presence and patience provide this album, recorded by Attila Rieger & his friends, with a
peculiar atmosphere. The intimate vibe of Attila’s music leaves enough space for the listener; a space that
could be easily filled by subjective imagination. In other words, by listening to this music, you can start your
own, personal spiritual journey as all the songs are inspirational as well as tactful enough to let you fly!
Nothing is “too much” or forced here; instead, we feel easy and light enough to float along with the notes,
chords and rhythms. There is a nice “together”-ness in between the band members: they really listen to each
other and nobody wants to step on anyone’s toe…such as in a classical string quartet, in which everyone has an
equal role. However, this collective journey always becomes even more exciting when someone takes a solo! These
tasteful solos are performed by well-prepared players as well as supported by a co-operative rhythm section. The
stylistically coherent, nicely mixed/mastered “Long-Lost Brothers” is highly recommended to anyone who looks for
honest artistic manifestations within the framework of modern mainstream acoustic jazz!

The Rieger Rhodes Quartet create attractive music exuding a great warmth especially with Attila Rieger’s classic
hollow body guitar sound and straight shooting melodicism. The commitment in pianist Peter Rozsnyói’s floating
approach to accompaniment brings an unusual and original shine to the quartet’s hypnotic sound. The compositions
on their latest release conjures an intimacy that alway keeps the listener engaged especially with the high
pedigree bass and drums of Zoltán Oláh and László Csízi. The sensitivity of Green Seeds allows Rozsnyói to
explore with impressionist textures while the band holds down a solid groove. Bouncing is another highlight
which introduces Albert Horvath’s Rhodes playing to the band and allows the for even more exuberance. This is a
stylish quartet forging their own truth boldly with great authority and musical subtlety.
